Pecan Springs Ranch – Austin Wedding Venue

Pecan Springs Ranch – Austin Wedding Venue

I had the pleasure last weekend of being a vendor at Pecan Springs Ranch’s Summer Open House!  This is my second time at one of their events and it never disappoints!  Over 200 people came through who have their wedding or event planned there in the upcoming year and it was so great to see it set up beautifully in a ‘Southern Living” theme!  Everytime I visit PSR to do a photo shoot or a wedding, the grounds are gorgeous and it’s literally a photographer’s dream.  Tucked away just outside of Austin on the way to Dripping Springs, the Smith family has done an incredible job with their design, logistics, customer service, staff and you can tell they love what they do! —– If you have a wedding or event coming up, give them a call and visit the property!  Also, if you like what you see, click on the names below for more information! Italy Photographer – Cinque Terre – Vernazza – Monterosso

Have you ever visited a place that completely takes your breath away?!  After seeing photos of Italy’s Cinque Terre I was so excited to plan our day trip from Florence to visit these famous 5 sea-side towns along Italy’s northern ‘riviera’ for myself.  We rode the morning train from Florence out to La Spazia before connecting on the infamous (non-airconditioned, loud, jam-packed) local train that take visitors to each little town since cars aren’t really available.  It was full of adventure and tourists and lots of sweat.  Lots.  We were visiting the CT during the hight of tourist season and Italy was enjoying a severe heat wave – so why not choose the most difficult hike between Monterosso to Vernazza to weed out the majority of those tourists?! Once we arrived in Monterosso, we enjoyed the quiet of the town and carbo-loaded on some fresh pesto pasta, pesto gnocchi and pesto bruschetta – you know since PESTO was created in this region of Italy!  It was delicious and helpful as we ascended up and around mountains for the next 2 hours encompassing 3 miles.  Our goal was to come around the bend and see the view of Vernazza, the most popular city of the 5….popular enough to be the view of a puzzle my parent’s just happened to put together a year ago! It was worth the sweat and calorie-burning hike and I’m so excited to share some of the photos I took along the way!!  Enjoy and I”ll have one more from our trip down to Sorrento, Capri and Naples in a few days!!  Caio! ***If you missed...

Italy Photographer – Sorrento – Capri – Naples

Whew!!! What a week we had in Italy!  The last part of our trip was to visit Italy’s Amalfi coast and boy did it not disappoint.  After a long day of train rides from Florence we made it to our hotel in Sorrento and explored the city and ate some incredible pasta at La Lanterna before getting a good night sleep for our boating adventure the next day!  It’s a must do trip taking a boat to the ritzy island of Capri with the teal blue waters, fancy shops and possibly the best lemon gelato we’ve had!  Our convertable taxi took us around the island and since he was a local…a Caprese just like the salad…he knew the best places to grab gelato and panoramic views!  We ended up heading to Anacapri on the advice of other friends and rode the single person gondola to the very top and what a view!   Enjoy some of my favorites of these three cities and thanks for joining our adventure!! If you missed the first two parts of our journey, scroll back up here and click below- For Rome and Florence:  http://jessicafreyphotographyblog.com/destination-photographer-italy-rome-florence-photos For Cinque Terre:  http://jessicafreyphotographyblog.com/italy-photographer-cinque-terre-vernazza-monterosso   Capri is known for their Lemons….Limoni de Capri and boy were they delicious!  The lemon gelato was so refreshing and perfect! Our taxi took us over the ‘Mama Mia” road to Anacapri which looks over the edge and that first image at the beginning of the post is our view from up at the top! After talking to several friends, we decided the single rider chairlift up to the top of Anacapri would be...

I’m so excited to share some images from my week in Italy on the most epic Mother/Daughter trip! I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to explore such a great culture with my mom, aunt and cousin – we’ve definitely got a ton of wonderful memories, and when you bring a professional photographer along on your trip, you get photos like these!!  We started our trip by flying into Rome, then taking a train to Florence with a day trip to Cinque Terre, trains down to Sorrento, a boat to Capri and then a quick trip to Pompeii and Naples before heading home.  Today’s blog is the first part – Rome, Vatican City and Florence! Link to my Rome & Vatican City photos from my previous trip: http://jessicafreyphotographyblog.com/tag/vatican-city-photos/ Link to my Venice & Florence photos: http://jessicafreyphotographyblog.com/freys-around-the-world-trip-venice-florence Our first stop was the Vatican Museum to see the Sistine Chapel!  It was a hot, 98 degrees, but we enjoyed getting to check that off my mom’s bucket list!  For photos of St. Peter’s Bascilican/Pieta/Trevi Fountain/Pantheon/Spanish Steps check out my previous blog post at the top! A quick look at some Instagram posts!! On our first of two days in Florence, two wonderful things happened….the first is that one of my best friends who lives in Germany flew over to meet us!  Anna and I have known each other since working at Disney World 15 years ago and we’ve managed to see each other all over the world since then!  The second thing was I scheduled a surprise dinner on top of a hotel I’ve stayed in previously – La Scaletta! We...
