If you’re anything like me, I always enjoy watching the Rose Parade on TV on January 1st every year and have watching almost every year since I was a little kid. The creativity, color, flowers and larger than life scale of the floats make it so much fun to watch. About 7 years ago, Eric and I literally camped on the sidewalk in Pasadena along the parade route on Dec. 31st, counted down to the New Year and had a front row seat to the parade. That idea now seems ludicrous and something only a non-parent, 25ish year old would do! So…this year we decided to take Evan and the grandparents to see the floats in person during the Post-Parade viewing! It was so great seeing them up close and if you ever have the opportunity, make sure to get there early when it opens as the crowd was ridiculous by noon! Here are some of my favorites and a closer look for those of you who watched it on tv! My favorites: The Downton Abbey ‘Final Adventure” float, the Disneyland/StarWars/Millennium Falcon float, the LA Lakers basketball float, the Cabella’s animal float and South Dakota’s Mt. Rushmore float!
My favorite…the incredible Downton Abbey Rose Parade float celebrating their final season!
