Happy Valentine’s Day!! What a perfect day to share this love story with you all! I had the pleasure of working with Caleb to document the day he proposed to his future bride and asked her to marry him and spend the rest of her life with him! Such an honor and an afternoon full of anticipation, joy and celebration! Caleb designed the best surprise and I asked them both to chat with you all a little bit about their perfect proposal day at Camp Lucy! Check it all out down below:
1) Would you recommend getting your proposal photographed to your friends after having experienced it?
I would for sure recommend having your proposal captured. Ali and I have enjoyed looking through our photos and remembering the array of emotions that each of us felt during this special time. The photos are real and show the true happiness that engagement is supposed to be about. Plus Jessica made me feel at ease and was so great about capturing our special moments!
.
2) Caleb, you chose to keep the proposal part private between you two, can you talk more about that for future men thinking of proposing and having it photographed?
I think that popping the question is an extremely intimate act, not to mention can be nerve racking. There is truly something special about being the only two in the room, when you ask that special question. After she says yes, the expression on her face is priceless and the pictures captured this so beautifully.
.
3) Caleb, do you have any advice for men planning the perfect proposal?
I would just say keep it simple but play up the little details. I knew some of Ali’s favorited foods and music and incorporated them into our special day.
.
4) Caleb, is there anything you would have added or done differently?
It was pretty perfect, I would just relax and be yourself.
.
5) Ali, how surprised were you?!!
Absolutely shocked!! I think I am still like OH MY GOSH THIS IS REAL! Which is the sweetest feeling. I wouldn’t trade the surprise of asking the man of my dreams to marry me for anything!
.
6) Both of you – What was your favorite moment of the afternoon?
Caleb: having time after I asked Ali to debrief with her one on one before we saw family.
Ali: well when he got down on one knee and asked of course! It is such a perfect blur of happiness I am glad you were there to capture every emotion I felt that day!
.
7) Both of you – What are you each looking forward to planning for the wedding day?
Ali: Entering into a sweet covenant of marriage with Caleb. Spending that special day with friends who love us deeply and a day full of complete joy!
Caleb: the honeymoon.
