Garrison Family – Lakeway Texas Photo Shoot

Garrison Family – Lakeway Texas Photo Shoot

It’s always a joy to see my friend and hairstylist (and fellow Austin/Hill Country wedding vendor) Ashley and her hubby Will and son Jax! We were able to take some updated family photos last week out in Lakeway, Texas and couldn’t have asked for a better day.  After a few postponed shoots due to weather, we were blessed with 65 degrees and the most beautiful evening sunlight! Ashley previously did an interview with me with some great advice for brides on how to best prep/book your wedding day hair and makeup.  So, if you or someone you know is getting married, you definitely want to check it out here: —— If you’re getting married or know someone who is (or who wants updated photos!!) Freyday – Austin Trip

Hey guys!! Last Friday, I got to visit family in Austin and had an amazing business & personal trip!  We got to attend some Texas Friday Night Lights football to watch my brother coach and cheer on the Panthers!  I forgot how much fun high school football can be and of course loved the beautiful hill country sunset that started off the game!   Here’s a look at my trip and all the adventures and photo shoots……hope you all have a great weekend! Cutest cat photo ever??  Sterling isn’t a kitten anymore, and loves his baskets! My little fur-neice, Kylie!!   I loved that I had the chance to see an old middle school/high school friend, Rebecca and meet her hubby and two sons!  We got to take family photos in Dripping Springs and had a great morning catching up!    Loved this one….so serious and cute!   I also had the opportunity to do some commercial real estate photography at the new Austonian to showcase an available apartment.  The views were spectacular and Austin….I miss and adore your skyline! Have a great weekend everyone!  ...

Freyday – Austin in March!

Howdy y’all!  I’ve been home in Austin now for almost a week and have had such a great time catching up with old friends, photographing them and eating my fair share of Tex-Mex goodness 🙂  I figured I would share some images that if you don’t follow me on Facebook (hi Mom!) you haven’t seen yet!   My first session was with my good friend Adrienne, her husband Karl and their sweet sweet little baby girl!  We had a great time heading back to our old stomping grounds and I’m excited to say I’ve now officially been dubbed their personal family photographer 😉 Enjoy some of the images from this week’s sessions and have a great weekend – Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!! One of my best friends in High School was Amy aka “Mamma”- and it’s been so great seeing how blessed her family has been and finally get to meet her little girls!  Amy and David are expecting their 3rd so we did a quick couples/maternity/family shoot while we were both home 🙂  Congratulations you guys! My good friend Brooke met up with me for an afternoon of commercial/fashion/headshot photos and we had a blast during our “Sequence in the Country” shoot! I also had the privilege of photographing Presley for her HS Senior photos!  Such a beautiful and sweet girl – good luck next year at A&M!! Whoop!...

Wildflower Workshop Family & Newborn Recap – Santa Barbara

The Santa Barbara rooster is back!  I decided to do one more post about my time and images from the other two photo shoots at the Wildflowers Workshop.  The location was just amazing and provided us with so many locations to work with – and animals that provided a ton of fun!  After our group breakfasts (thank you for the Trader Joe’s pumpkin cream cheese…yum!!) and some talk time with Joy Harmon Prouty, we had two photo session – a family of 5 with one on the way and a newborn! Since my main focus is on weddings and couples with very few family sessions on my calendar, I was looking forward to seeing how other photographers, especially Joy handle families and getting that candid fun together time – and how to make them unique, fun and relaxed!  We were blessed with an amazing family who just took to having 18 photographers in front of them as they interacted and played.  I’m proud of the photos I got, but please note that these sessions take a thorough amount of planning on both the family and the photographer’s side, some crafting and creativity ahead of time! Fyke family, you guys were amazing!! Thank you so much for your patience and for having fun with us!!         Here is the set up for the newborn using all natural light: Isn’t this little guy precious!  This photo set up took a ton of time from Joy and some of the other mommies in the group to get him situated just right and put to sleep, while I just stood...
