Tempe Arizona Wedding Anniversary Photo Shoot – Bryan & Stacy

Tempe Arizona Wedding Anniversary Photo Shoot – Bryan & Stacy

Anniversary sessions are some of my favorites! Celebrating marriage at any stage is a great idea, especially if you’re like Bryan & Stacy and they just had their 10 year anniversary!  I was actually at their Minnesota wedding day with all the Lester family and often get to visit them in their hometown now of Phoenix, Arizona.   I loved not only getting to catch up, but meeting them at the beautiful Phoenix Marriott Tempe at the Buttes resort for some desert/cactus beautiful morning light photos!  We braved the ‘jumping’ cacti, hiked around the gorgeous multi level pool and made the desert sand look gorgeous.  Thank you Bryan & Stacy for letting me update your photos and celebrate your love!  Congratulations!! *If you know anyone about to celebrate an Anniversary, let’s set up a photo shoot! It’s the perfect time to reconnect with your spouse, get all fancy, reminisce about your wedding day and get some great photos of just the two of you.  Email me for availability and investment information: Jessica@JessicaFreyPhotography.com I’m also now booking 2017 Austin, Texas and destination weddings! Adventures in Bavaria – Munich

Adventures in Bavaria – Munich

Three years ago when my hubby and I did our Trip Around the World, we were given 5 stops on our RTW flight options.  With one of my best friends living in Munich, Germany, we decided to use one of them to fly from Houston, Tx to Munich (The other 4 being San Juan, Costa Rica; Phuket, Thailand; Auckland, New Zealand and back to Los Angeles)  We then explored Europe for 5 weeks and made it back to Munich before flying off to Thailand!  During our last trip to visit we did a few touristy things like visit Neuschwanstein (the inspiration for Cinderella’s Castle) and drive to Austria to see the Swarovski Museum, and even shot an engagement session in Marienplatz Munich (which you can see here: Jacob & Kelsey), so this most recent trip it was a bit more low key and relaxing. (To view that trip, visit this blog: RTW-Germany). This trip to Munich, it rained 3 out of the 4 days I was there, so I hiked through the woods in the rain wearing Hunter boots, got to walk their precious pup Denny, made it to a few local beirgartens and the icing on the cake??? Wear a traditional Bavarian dress, a Dirndl!  I borrowed one of Anna’s dresses and we headed out on the UBahn to go downtown to grab a bite to eat and a lemonade beer (forgot what it’s called, but it’s delicious!).  I felt a bit odd mixed with people heading home from work and it wasn’t Octoberfest, but I was assured it’s totally normal.  Riiiight?!   Anyway, it was so much fun and...
Ireland Adventures – Galway & Cliffs of Moher

Ireland Adventures – Galway & Cliffs of Moher

Travel is my love language…along with tacos, but that’s for another day.  I am so thankful to have the time and flexibility (yea for the best husband and grandparents ever) to travel to Ireland with one of my closest friends, Anna!  We had 4 days and 5 nights to explore one of my all-time favorite countries: Ireland!  Since we’ve both been before and had already done certain areas we found that neither of us had made it to the west coast and planned to head straight for Galway after landing in Dublin.  We took a bus (for 10 euro!!) from the Dublin bus station (yea for Bus Eireann….and for anyone wanting to do the same, make sure to take the EXPRESS bus to Galway and not the local. We know from experience, trust me you don’t want 4.5 hours of roundabouts in a bus.) and arrived during a festival celebrating Galway and their excitement over being the designated the European Capital of Culture 2020.   After 3 days, I can see why they were chosen and have fallen in love with Galway!  In another lifetime, I would move there right away, set up shop and become besties with our Airbnb host who just happened to be a dancer IN RIVERDANCE.  That’s right, I tried so hard not to fangirl when we met her and for those who know me, know it was hard not to ask to try on her shoes and perform my ‘routine’.  Seriously though, Riverdance.  She’s living my other dream life 🙂  Gillian, if you’re somehow finding this and you & sweet Michael get married in the near...
Santa Barbara Anniversary Wedding Shoot – Knapp’s Castle

Santa Barbara Anniversary Wedding Shoot – Knapp’s Castle

There are certain locations around the world that have taken my breath away (dining at Hotel La Scaletta in Florence, Italy, riding on a scooter bike in Thailand, hugging a Koala in Australia, cave diving in New Zealand, Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska, taking a dip in the volcanic hot springs of Arenal in Costa Rica) AND watching the sunset atop Knapp’s Castle in Santa Barbara!  I feel so blessed that this was my third photo shoot here by request of Justin & Jeanette and I was looking forward to our shoot for months!   The sun didn’t disappoint as we hiked to the slightly hidden ruins high above the clouds and I couldn’t be more happy to capture their love in such an epic location.  (**speaking of epic locations – I’ll be heading to the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland next month in July if you know anyone who wants an epic photo shoot there!!!) Sending love to you both, thank you for trusting me and having such a fun day with me capturing memories!!  xoxoxo, Jessica If you missed part 1, make sure to scroll back up and click here: Justin & Jeanette – Santa Barbara beach photos —— Now booking Fall 2016 & 2017 Weddings in Austin, Texas and Destination! *I’ll also be back in Central California/Yosemite/Bass Lake June 30-July 9th and LA/Bakersfield for a week in November if you’re looking for a photo shoot! Santa Barbara Anniversary Wedding Shoot – Jeanette & Justin

If you’ve been following on social media (Facebook:  www.facebook.com/JFreyPhotography or Instagram: @jessicafreyphotography) you’ve seen some sneak peeks of this epic Santa Barbara photo shoot with Justin & Jeanette!  I was so excited to get an email from Jeanette when she knew I was heading back to California to schedule a special photo shoot in Santa Barbara that incorporated Knapps Castle and the beach.  We met up on a Freyday and spent 3 hours together first at the Biltmore Four Seasons, then to the beach to stuck our toes in the sand, and finally we drove the fun/scary drive up to the castle ruins in the mountains above Santa Barbara known as Knapps Castle.  This was my third trip to the epic and slightly hidden destination and it never fails to inspire me and provide the most dramatic views and sunset.  If you ever have a chance and are in the area, look it up and make the trek!  Here’s a look at part 1 of their photo shoot at the Biltmore Four Season and the beach.    Come back soon for part two full of Knapp’s Castle photos! Part 2 coming to the blog soon! —– Now booking Fall 2016 & 2017 Weddings in Austin, Texas and Destination! *I’ll also be back in Central California/Yosemite/Bass Lake June 30-July 9th and LA/Bakersfield for a week in November if you’re looking for a photo shoot!
