Camp Lucy – Ian’s Chapel Bridal Portraits – Courtney

Hello Gorgeous Courtney!!  I’m so excited that now she’s a MRS. I can share her stunning Camp Lucy Bridal Portrait session!  This Houston-based bride met me in the newly re-designed bridal cottage at Ian’s Chapel and we spent the afternoon exploring the property she and Ryan got married at this past Saturday.  Camp Lucy is such a unique and gorgeous Hill Country (Dripping Springs) venue and the structures that were brought over from Vietnam lend itself to stunning backdrops!  Add to that a sunny, warm spring day, a colorful bouquet by the talented Whim Florals team….oh, and the beautiful bride….it was a perfect afternoon! Bridal portrait sessions not only allow us plenty of time to get photos of the bride, but it also provides a great opportunity to try a certain hairstyle, lip color, earrings and see how you felt.  On Courtney’s wedding day this past weekend, it was fun to see the small changes made after this session….she kept the earrings, pulled the hair back just a tad bit more, and tightened up the bouquet.  Congratulations Ryan & Courtney – thank you to your amazing family and friends for being wonderful to work with!  Wedding photos coming to the blog soon….until then, catch some sneak peeks on my Instagram (@jessicafreyphotography)   Now booking select dates for Fall 2017 and all of 2018! Austin Hill Country Bridal Portraits – Rebecca

What a joy it’s been getting to know Rebecca over the past year as we shot engagement photos, bridals and as of this weekend, her wedding day to Russell!  I somehow manage to always have the sweetest, most elegant, gorgeous brides and Rebecca was no exception.  Her dance traning and posing came in handy for these bridal portraits that I’m soooo excited to finally be able to share!  I had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca, her mom and aunt out at Cimarron Hills Country Club in Georgetown, Texas on a warm January Texas day. We were all so thankful the sun was shining and it was perfect portrait weather day for some outdoor photos.  When Becca stepped out in her gorgeous Alyne by Rita Vinieris gown, we all gasped.  It’s so perfect and the gorgeous sparkly bolero was the perfect touch.   Ladies, thank you for a fun day – it’s been wonderful getting to know you and I can’t wait to share wedding photos very soon! Until then….how about some gorgeous bridal portraits?!  xoxo, Jessica   Congratulations Mrs. Linehan! Come back soon to view wedding photos of Russell & Rebecca’s wedding day here on the blog! Ryann’s Camp Lucy Bridal Portraits

I’ve forgotten how unpredictable the weather in Austin can be in the winter, so I just have to applaud Ryann who drove in from Houston for her bridal shoot at Camp Lucy in January!  She braved 25 degree weather and rain/sleet like a pro!  You’d never know her fingers were a slight shade of blue or that her sweet mother was off to the side ready with a big fluffy blanket in-between takes!  I’m sure she kept imagining the day she’d be lying on the sand in Maui for her honeymoon the entire time?!   Ryann – you are such a beautiful bride and person inside and out!  Congratulations Mrs. Koenig! Austin Bridals at the Texas State Capitol

It’s Monday!! I’m so excited to finally be able to show off Lindsey’s beautiful bridal session at the Texas State Capitol now that she’s a married lady!!  It was such a pleasure finally meeting this amazing, sparkle-loving bride and her mom, aunt and best friend after months of emails!  We lucked out with a sun-filled afternoon and enjoyed strolling around Lindsey’s favorite Texas building as we captured her photos… are a few of my favorite plus we were even able to end the photo shoot with glitter!  What better way to end an amazing photo shoot?! I adore how Lindsey’s florist, Boyd’s Blossoms was able to incorporate Lindsey’s grandmother’s brooch into her bouquet – it’s it stunning?! Having fun with the Capitol Police always makes for smiles….thanks for the photo bomb, sir! I love that everyone was able to help primp and keep Lindsey ready for her photo shoot…..   GLITTER!!! Thanks again beautiful ladies for a wonderful afternoon photo shoot and to my hubby for being a great assistant!!  Congratulations Lindsey!!! Princess Bridal Inspired Photos at Knapps Castle Santa Barbara

I’ve had a lot of ‘photography visions’ lately and am so excited to share with you guys one that has been on my heart for about 4 years!  I visited the ‘ruins’ of Knapps Castle for an engagement shoot about 4 years ago and have always wanted to bring a bride up here for a ‘princess’ styled shoot.  So with the United conference happening this week in Santa Barbara, I did my best to make it happen!  I’m so thankful to Mary Rita of Sew Elegant Bridal Veils and Alterations for loaning me the beautiful veil and tiara from her store along with a vintage wedding skirt that I chose to pair with a flowy white silk shirt from my closet and a custom belt that Mary created!  I knew I wanted a soft chiffon feel and loved how the two pieces paired together beautifully! Thank you to Kristen Booth, a fellow fairy tale wedding photographer for modeling for me and to fellow CA photographer Shannon for being our helper.  I’m so grateful also to two amazing friends and fellow wedding photographers Jaime Williams and Elizabeth Langford for assisting me, helping me in any way they could and for being incredible reflector holders/veil tossers!  It’s incredible to have such beautiful friends in this industry that encourage and share their knowledge and I’m so thankful to you two ladies for this entire week 😉 SO……enjoy a look at the “princess” inspired bridal castle ruins shoot:     Wedding Photography for couples who believe that love is worth celebrating!  ...

Winter Wedding Style – Lake Tahoe Bridal Shoot

“Alpine Chic” Any winter wedding brides out there?!  I had a vision that I was so excited to execute while vacationing with my best friend in Lake Tahoe last weekend – something a little different for that winter wedding in the woods, an idea for a bride wanting to stay warm yet still modern with a sense of style.  We decided to call this look Alpine Chic 🙂  What do you think?  It’s a little non-traditional!  A big thank you to Maureen for modeling for me and running through the snow in a ball gown skirt!  We had a lot of laughs and I hope I can inspire someone out there with my winter wedding vision!!   Skirt: Maggie Sottero Shirt: Eddie Bauer Necklace: Apricot Lane Bakersfield Location: South Lake Tahoe Wedding Photography for couples who believe that love is worth celebrating  ...
