El Matador Beach Engagement Photos – Matt & Hanna

Congratulations Matt & Hanna on the next adventure of your lives as you plan to share forever together!! I am so thankful that our paths crossed in Austin and can’t believe the small world this is that we have friends in common!! Matt actually went to high school in Thousand Oaks, CA with my brother-in-law and I’ve photographed several of his friends’s engagement/weddings!  A California couple, they’re actually getting married in Austin this summer at one of my favorite Texas Hill Country venues, Pecan Springs Ranch! Thank you for meeting me in California and any chance I get to travel and photograph couples in meaningful locations, my photography heart is happy!  Matt actually proposed to Hanna on the beach in Malibu! I was so happy to go back to El Matador State Beach which is where I did my Little Mermaid styled wedding shoot for Disney Weddings!! (wanna check that out? scroll back up here and click here: http://jessicafreyphotographyblog.com/the-little-mermaid-inspired-teal-coral-wedding ) Here’s a look at some of my favorites – we had the most perfect (warm) beach weather and the love and silliness and giggles and smiles made for a perfect afternoon!   Rivalry? What rivalry? Love that these two have a healthy competitive spirit 😉  Funny sidenote – if you followed our adventures this day on my Instagram Stories (@jessicafreyphotography) you saw the absolutely rediculousness of the amout of photo shoots happening on the beach!  Our favorite was these two guys doing a swimsuit photo shoot so we just had to capture it and share it with you all….   Ok, back to these two being super cute and in LOVE!...

Love is also…. when you laugh for an hour and have more fun than anticipated taking photos together and don’t even mind a little sunshine! Rachel & Jerry – I’m SO thankful to meet you both a few weeks ago and have an opportunity to spend the evening with you for your engagement photos…and enjoyed the best damn fajitas ever at Lupe Tortilla!  Your love for each other is so joyful to watch and I cannot wait for your big day at Camp Lucy this fall! Bull Creek Austin Engagement Photos with puppies!

I am so thankful my job leads me to some pretty special friendships and two years ago, I worked a Valentine’s Day wedding at Camp Lucy (Thank you Ryann & James!!) and met an amazing coordinator named Ashley – we quickly hit it off, had lunch with my then 3 month old baby and pretty much met for tacos and town lake walks once a week after that!  She’s an incredible person and it’s been so enjoyable watching her romance with her then boyfriend blossom into the real deal.  These two are engaged and having a fun year of new puppies, a new home and many adventures together!  Ashley & Dan – you two are wonderful together and I’m thankful to know you and count our laser tag brunch double date as one of my favorite double dates ever!  Congratulations and thank you for trusting me with your puppies and to capture this special time in your life!  Love you!   ...
Fernando & Kaci’s Dripping Springs Engagement Session

Fernando & Kaci’s Dripping Springs Engagement Session

I am so excited to share with you guys a true “Texas Hill Country” enagement shoot!  I met Kaci last year when she graciously shared her talents and did hair & makeup for our Tuscany in Texas wedding photography workshop models and remember hearing about her really awesome boyfriend….who 8 months later asked her to be his forever!  I sent Kaci a facebook congrats (all the exlaimation points!!!!) and was so excited when she contacted me to capture their love story and engagement photos at one of her favorite locations – a horse ranch in the hill country with her horse Izzy!  I had a great time meeting all the horses, meeting their other fur babies (3 doggies!) and of course, meeting Fernando!  It’s easy to see these two make each other smile and Fernando puts such a light in Kaci’s eyes and makes her laugh so easily and genuinely!  Wishing you two a lifetime of laughter and adventures together! Thanks for having a great afternoon with me in Dripping Springs!!  – Jessica Tell us in a few sentences how you two met! Fernando and I met at a friends Halloween party. We were both dressed up, myself as Edward Scissorhands the feminine versions of course lol I had always wanted to be him since I do hair and makeup after all. Nano got invited late to the party so he improvised and painted his face like a skeleton. I approached him to tell him how great his face paint was totally expecting him to say his girlfriend had done it…to my surprise he said he had done it...
Camp Lucy proposal – Caleb & Ali

Camp Lucy proposal – Caleb & Ali

Happy Valentine’s Day!!  What a perfect day to share this love story with you all!  I had the pleasure of working with Caleb to document the day he proposed to his future bride and asked her to marry him and spend the rest of her life with him!  Such an honor and an afternoon full of anticipation, joy and celebration!  Caleb designed the best surprise and I asked them both to chat with you all a little bit about their perfect proposal day at Camp Lucy!  Check it all out down below: 1) Would you recommend getting your proposal photographed to your friends after having experienced it? I would for sure recommend having your proposal captured. Ali and I have enjoyed looking through our photos and remembering the array of emotions that each of us felt during this special time. The photos are real and show the true happiness that engagement is supposed to be about. Plus Jessica made me feel at ease and was so great about capturing our special moments!  . 2) Caleb, you chose to keep the proposal part private between you two, can you talk more about that for future men thinking of proposing and having it photographed? I think that popping the question is an extremely intimate act, not to mention can be nerve racking. There is truly something special about being the only two in the room, when you ask that special question. After she says yes, the expression on her face is priceless and the pictures captured this so beautifully. . 3) Caleb, do you have any advice for men planning the perfect...
