I absolutely ADORE destination weddings! Family and friends usually spend a whole weekend (or more) together in celebration of the new marriage and they’re given an excuse to travel. This is Fernando and Kaci’s Tulum Mexico wedding that took place at Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa. While you may recognize these two from their anniversary session at McKinney Falls, I wanted to post their destination wedding today in honor of the Embark Retreat I’m leading from a cruise ship this week! Not only are attendees learning solid business lessons in marketing, styling, and so much more, but they’ll also have the opportunity to photograph a luxury styled wedding!
How fun is this beach ball exit from their beach wedding ceremony?!
This next shot was so fun to capture! Kaci and Fernando’s wedding party was cheering for them from the balcony!
You just HAVE to have a mariachi band for your wedding reception if you’re having a destination wedding in Mexico!
I’m so glad Kaci and Fernando opted for a sunrise photo shoot to include with their wedding photos! It was our best chance at having Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa to ourselves and I loved it! A couple of days after their wedding, we agreed to meet on the beach at 5:30am. It was early, but we had a great time and were able to capture some epic images! One of which is now a 30×40 metal print hanging in their living room as an incredible piece of art! Staying an extra day to include a post-wedding photo shoot is one of my favorite things about destination weddings! I get to spend about an hour with the newlyweds capturing the gorgeous scenery of the destination they picked and that’s where we’re really able to show it off! Sometimes, this time to explore and get some epic shots isn’t possible on a wedding day. So, I encourage my destination couples to get dressed back up and it’s always worth it!
Congratulations, Kaci and Fernando!!
