The Santa Barbara rooster is back!  I decided to do one more post about my time and images from the other two photo shoots at the Wildflowers Workshop.  The location was just amazing and provided us with so many locations to work with – and animals that provided a ton of fun!  After our group breakfasts (thank you for the Trader Joe’s pumpkin cream cheese…yum!!) and some talk time with Joy Harmon Prouty, we had two photo session – a family of 5 with one on the way and a newborn!

Since my main focus is on weddings and couples with very few family sessions on my calendar, I was looking forward to seeing how other photographers, especially Joy handle families and getting that candid fun together time – and how to make them unique, fun and relaxed!  We were blessed with an amazing family who just took to having 18 photographers in front of them as they interacted and played.  I’m proud of the photos I got, but please note that these sessions take a thorough amount of planning on both the family and the photographer’s side, some crafting and creativity ahead of time!

Fyke family, you guys were amazing!! Thank you so much for your patience and for having fun with us!!

Isn’t this little guy precious!  This photo set up took a ton of time from Joy and some of the other mommies in the group to get him situated just right and put to sleep, while I just stood back and watched them interact with him and took a few shots once he was ready!  Who knows, once I’m a mom someday this will be easier!!  🙂
