Today – June 13, 2012, I celebrate 8 Amazing years of marriage to my Beautiful Bride, Jessica!
It’s crazy for me to think that it has been 8 years since we rode off into the sunset on a horse-drawn carriage as newly weds…well, we didn’t really ride off into the sunset…
we came back for the reception, but we still rode of into the mysterious land of Texas!
I’m taking over the main content for the blog post today to celebrate the enjoyment of my marriage to the best wife I could have asked for.
A lot has happened in 8 years…a whole lot, but still it has gone by quickly. Through the ups and the downs, through long and lonely deployments, and joy-filled reunions Jessica has been amazing every step of the way.
We met at a ball, and had a fairy tale wedding.
Jessica, you will always be my Cinderella!
We have had a lot of adventures over the years. Shared in triumphs and defeats. Everyday of it all, Jessica has loved me unconditionally, and has made me a better man.
I look forward to what adventures await us. Until then, here is a look back at a HOT, but GLORIOUS day in Wimberly, Texas – 8 years ago today.
Officially Mr. and Mrs. Frey!
Although it is pronounced Fry…it will take Jessica a couple years to get used to being called Mrs. Fray
Frey is a very common German name – common people…get it right!

Eric and his miniature donkeys. Yes, it’s all he asked for in a “Texas” wedding – little guys to pass out waters to our guests during cocktail hour!
(Yes, this literally was my ONLY request for the entire wedding! I wanted those Donkey’s!)
Two Things:
1) Swords are awesome – just like midget Donkeys…
2) Jessica is anticipating what is coming next…
This is where my buddy T.J. Leancu SMACKED Jessica on the rear and shouted:
“Welcome to the Marine Corps Ma’am!”
Lucky for Jessica she had a lot of padding from that dress…but as you can see, she still felt it!

Jessica may be Cinderella, but I’m not Prince Charming…..I’m King Awesome
Our amazing wedding party! Eric had quite a bit of Navy guys in uniform – hence the reason we went with white suits for the groomsmen so they would match! 
Sparkler Exit!! Thanks Uncle Jimmy for grabbing the only shot we have from this!! Love it 🙂
And last but not least – 8 years later, this guy is getting married!! We’re so excited to spend the weekend celebrating Andrew and Lauren’s wedding! Congratulations you two – looks like we’ll always get to celebrate together 🙂
Congrats Bro! Love You too and can’t wait for your big day…you don’t have Donkey’s or Swords…but I know it will be GREAT!!!

We will never forget your wedding and this was a great summary of that beautiful day. My son is very special and very lucky to have a special wife and friend like you Jessica! We love you both. Congratulations.

Okay. I’m late on this by a couple of weeks, but this was awesome. Love you guys and Happy belated 8th anniversary. You are such an amazing couple. So glad to have met up with you in Bakersfield, and stay connected no matter where you end up…although I know you’re shooting for Texas.
