How long have you been doing wedding & event vintage rentals?
What’s your favorite thing about being a part of a bride & groom’s wedding day?
Our favorite time of a wedding is getting ready to walk down the aisle. There is an sense of anticipation from everyone. But our favorite part about being asked to provide pieces for a wedding is knowing that in even a tiny way we became a part of someones best day of their life.
What advice do you have for brides deciding on their vintage rental concept/design?
Keeping it simple and true to your vision. Vintage/Boutique rentals are a way of topping off the overall design. Keep colors of furniture choices clean and add pops of color with pillows. Pull the colors for your design from your floral selection and keep to a three color maximum. By using vintage pieces in unique ways such as a trunk as a coffee table, or an old card file to hold your guests gift cards you add interest to an otherwise overlooked detail. Give guests some interesting details so the event is unforgettable.
What are some of your favorite pieces for a wedding day?
Unique backdrops and centerpieces on guest tables that are different than the typical (wedding) display. Lounge furniture makes the evening comfortable and adds a different element to the lounge/dance area or offers a getaway for guests when placed outside.
What can a bride do to be prepared for her rental appointment?
Bringing specific ideas to us so we can help pull together a vision is key. Having an idea of what style you want to use in your wedding decor is the first thing to a successful and cohesive appointment. We offer our service on an appointment only basis so each couple is given time to see all of our inventory and make decisions. We encourage you to bring your planner, florist, Pinterest page, etc!
How did Bee Lavish get started?
Bee Lavish Vintage came from a love for all things vintage and the idea that repurposed items make unique decor for events. While merchandising for a local store in Bee Cave, Denise met a wedding planner who was looking for vintage rentals. Being an avid collector of vintage props and furniture Bee Lavish was an idea that came to life soon after that meeting.
How early should a bride contact you to book their vintage rentals?
Typically a boutique rental is a one of a kind item so 8 to 10 months is a good range to insure your item is available for your wedding.
What’s the best way for a bride to contact you?
What are some of your favorite venues to work at?
We love working at ALL venues from Austin to San Antonio and the Hill Country.
What’s your favorite activity to do in your spare time?
Collect and shop for vintage and antique props. Who doesn’t love to shop!
Anything else you’d like to add or share for future clients and their wedding day??
Remember, at the end of the day its a marriage not a production. The event itself should be beautiful, personal and unique and if something isn’t perfect your guests won’t know the difference. The couple should be there for each other and the guests are there to see the couple. Above all, have fun!
Here are some more photos from the showroom…it’s always changing so make sure to stop by an say hello and that you saw this post!
