I set a goal last year as a photographer and business woman- one of many – to have a wedding published in a nation-wide magazine.  I’ve submitted many and have been proud to have my clients featured online on several amazing blogs.  I always get so excited to be able to share their inspiration and vision with future brides out there and use my ability as a photographer to do just that.  What I wasn’t planning on was getting an interview about my own path in creating a successful photography business printed in a nationwide magazine!  About two months ago, I sent an email – and got a response from Professional Photographer Magazine…a response that they were intreagued by my story and wanted to know more about my photography business here in Bakersfield for an article they were doing based around photographers diversifying their client base!  I was so excited and truly enjoyed the almost hour conversation I had with Angela as I told her how I got started and how I’d been shooting weddings and working with our local magazine each month, Bakersfield Life.

Needless to say the experience was a ton of fun and I have been anticipating like a kid on Christmas morning the day I would open my mailbox and see the October issue!  Well, it arrived on Friday and I immediately turned to the back to find the article and honestly was giddy with excitement to see Jessica & Jessie…and the infamous yellow couch printed alongside the article loud and clear!  Eeeeeeek!  Thanks for letting me brag a little bit today on the blog and share my excitement with you 🙂  Check back on Wednesday for Jeff & Glady’s wedding and have a wonderful week!
