Congratulations Kat & Jacob on a simply gorgeous fairytale wedding! Held at Chateau Cocomar, this wedding was truly a fairytale come to life, complete with fluffy white florals, a monogrammed dance floor and of course, a princess in the form of the beautiful Kat!
We started this fairytale wedding with getting ready and family first looks at Chateau Cocomar. Afterwards, we headed to the church for the ceremony and then it was back to the Chateau for dinner and dancing! This day was absolutely divine and it was such a joy getting to know this sweet couple and their families!

Kat and Jacob selected Chateau Cocomar for their romantic fairytale wedding! This was definitely the perfect choice for them because the Chateau looks like a European castle, only it’s nestled in Houston, TX! This French-inspired estate provided a royal backdrop for every part of this wedding, from the vaulted arches of the WakeCo Jardin to the crystal chandeliers of the Salle de Versailles.
And what would a castle be without a grand staircase? The Chateau really has all the makings of a fairytale, including a grand staircase inside and outside, making for regal portraits!
On the morning of this fairytale wedding, Kat and Jacob each got ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen at the Chateau. While everyone got all dolled up, I started the day by shooting detail photos of their invitation suite, rings, and Kat’s bridal accessories to name a few.
When Kat was ready, we headed to the Salle de Valencay for a first look with her bridesmaids. I absolutely love this ballroom at Chateau Cocomar because of its clean, white walls, ornate chandeliers, and enormous picture windows. There is so much natural light in this room that I just knew it would be perfect for Kat’s first looks!
Kat’s nine bridesmaids wore deep sapphire blue gowns with bateau necklines. They were just beautiful, especially against the contrasting white walls! When Kat walked out, all of her bridesmaids were overjoyed! They wore the biggest smiles on their faces and I loved getting to capture this moment of genuine love!
Up next was Kat’s first look with her father. For this, she held hands with her mom and walked into the same ballroom. When her dad turned around and saw his little girl as a bride for the first time, tears were definitely welling in his eyes! I could tell that this was especially important to Kat and I’m so glad that she trusted me to capture this emotional and sentimental moment.
We need to talk about Kat’s bridal look before we go any further! Kat is such a gem of a person and she looked absolutely radiant on her fairytale wedding day! She wore a strapless white wedding dress that had floral details on the bodice and trailed down all the way to the train. The gown’s skirt had a horsehair hemline, creating a voluminous look, fit for a princess!
Kat paired her dress with a simple pearl necklace and pearl earrings. Her blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders in waves and she finished off her look with a light and airy veil.
Last but not least, her bridal bouquet featured fluffy white roses and natural greenery, tied together with a classic white ribbon.
Overall, she looked lovely and more importantly, she exuded joy all day long!
It was important to Kat and Jacob to get married in a church, so that’s where the ceremony took place! Before the ceremony officially commenced, Kat and Jacob held a first touch. As they clasped each other’s hand, they bowed their heads and shared a sweet and private moment together before they became husband and wife.
This fairytale wedding ceremony itself was filled with emotion, sentimentality, and love. They lined the aisle with candles and floral accents and there were corresponding floral arrangements along the altar.
When Kat and Jacob were pronounced Mr. and Mrs., they shared their first married kiss before breaking into huge smiles and laughter. They did it!
After Kat and Jacob were officially married, we captured some family portraits at the church before making our way back to Chateau Cocomar for the evening. There, we had SO much fun taking photos with all the bridesmaids and groomsmen and later, with just the newlyweds. The happiness and excitement radiating from them was electric!
Before the reception kicked off, we held a private grand reception reveal for Kat and Jacob. They were blown away by their fairytale wedding vision come to fruition! Chateau Cocomar’s immaculate ballroom already boasts hand-painted, gold-leafed walls, exquisite chandeliers, and marble floors. But Kat and Jacob’s fabulous vendor team dressed it up with towering white floral arrangements, gold chiavari chairs, a dramatic head table and monogrammed dance floor! The whole reception design screamed fairytale wedding in the most elegant way and it was pure perfection!
The rest of the evening from there was a whirlwind of excitement! From the newlyweds’ first dance to toasts to cake cutting to open dancing, the fun never ended! My favorite part though came at the tail end of this fairytale wedding, right before Kat and Jacob walked outside for their grand exit.
They stayed behind for a private last dance. We dimmed all the lights so that just the candles lit the room. In the soft glow, Kat and Jacob held each other and danced together, basking in the newlywed glow.
They then headed outside and ran through their family and friends holding sparklers to their waiting limo. It was the best way to conclude this real-life fairytale!
Huge thank you to all the incredible vendors who brought this fairytale wedding to life!
