Rain. Rainbows. The chill of fall.  Coffee and lots of laughter.  Put those together and you get a sweet downtown engagement shoot with Chris & Carrie!    With a December wedding approaching and busy schedules, we were greatful that our timeframe to do the shoot was only slightly drizzly – and even brough out some beautiful skies and a rainbow!  Needless to say, these two made my job easy – their love for one another radiates and I’m so excited to get to know them better (yea for Great Room and going to church together!) and can’t wait to be there to capture their big day!   Chris even earned 10 brownie points (or Schrute bucks, his choice) for being a wonderful boyfriend/fiancee and letting me photograph two very special items – their owl book and the sweet engagement ring he had made for Carrie out of her grandmother’s ring!

Rain!!!  They braved one walk and I loved seeing the drops of rain coming down….and then, I had them face the other way, so we could get…..

The rainbow over Bakersfield!!  The above image and the one below were taken seconds apart – love what happens when the sun comes out and nature happens!

Yellow and blue….my favorite colors.  For the second half of our photo shoot, we set up a little area for them to relax out of the rain and they shared with me this sweet homemade owl book of personal gifts Chris has made for Carrie.  Here are your 10 Schute bucks, Chris and a high five from women everywhere!
