Mike & Shannon have a very sweet, laid-back style to their love and wanted to showcase that in the location of their wedding this summer: Carpinteria, CA.  So, we traveled down to the beach and enjoyed the sand between our toes (and thanks to the wind we had that day our eyes, hair, mouths!) and got some amazing photos during the last hour of sun that day.  The local surf shop, A-Frame Surf was so awesome and allowed us to borrow one of their vintage surf boards to really help complete the laid back/surfer/beach boy look these two are going for in their save the dates and invitations.    The pop of color it provided really makes a fun statement and we were so thankful to add such a really cool prop to the shoot!   Add to that some blue adirondack chairs and the love for one another these two have and we had an amazing day!   I want to send a huge thank you shout out to my good friend and fellow wedding photographer based out of Ventura, CA Stephanie Saul for meeting us and assisting at the shoot.  This girl rocks my world and I can’t wait to have her shoot with me on their big day!   She wrote a really sweet and funny post about this photo shoot that you can view here:  Stephanie Saul Photography Thank you, Shannon and Mike for a great trip down to the beach, for being amazing clients, and for a rockin’ good dinner!!  I cannot wait for you wedding day – enjoy the photos!!
