My Westie is gorgeous…scruffy and all. But, sometimes a lady needs to get her hair did with a nice groom, bath and clip at the doggy spa 🙂 I took Kayla to Biscuit Boutique & Doggy Spa in downtown Bakersfield – where I’ve taken her for the past 3 years and couldn’t help but provide you all with a before and after! I really love taking her there because there aren’t cages…the dogs who all get along get to roam around and I’m assuming play games like hide and seek while they wait their turn. Or whatever games dogs play 🙂 She had a bit of an attitude all day, but did allow me to take some shots of her here….then scroll down for possibly the most dramatic diptych Freyday photo ever 😉 *side note: Westies and other white dogs get an iron deposit coloring on their white fur as they age due to licking…hence the darkness around her mouth and paws. I’m sure there’s stuff out there to help, but I haven’t tried anything yet!
YAWN. It’s 9am Kayla, time to get up and go to the Doggy Spa! (seriously, this girl sleeps in!)
And here’s the side-by-side comparison of the scruffy dog and the groomed dog:
The face I got here just makes my heart ache….she was so mad at me after a day at the beauty salon 🙂 I guess she misses her well earned shaggy do!
And here’s my ear perk….”what? what did you say? oh, you love me?! Ok, let’s be friends again!”
Have an amazing weekend! I’m back to action after getting my cast off on Wednesday – and can’t wait for Ashley and Matt’s wedding tomorrow! Also, stay tuned….my mom just sent me a really cool ‘photographer’ keychain for my next giveaway! Thanks, mom!

OMG…seriously LOVE! So cute. Funny we both posted about our dogs today 🙂 Miss you my friend…hope you are doing well.
Awwwww! – Kayla is too cute. The before and after is great. Love this post.
What a sweetheart! Mu has her white dog drink distilled water to help with his reddish tear stains. I wonder if it would work for Kayla? google that sh!t. hugs and kisses!
Super cute, fluffy & scruffy or not. <3
I guess we had the same idea…my Westie was looking pretty bad himself…..SO with it being 100 here in Texas already….I shaved him! Buzz cut! Kayla looks beautiful!
