Glitter and Cinderella – what could be more fun for Halloween? Says the girl who hates to be scared/startled/creeped out!!!
So, I know I said I would show part 2 of Jeff & Gladys’ wedding….but I felt posting a gorgeous wedding on Halloween was a little innappropriate, so instead – here are the pumpkins I created yesterday! I do have a crafty side – and thanks to Pinterest and Michael’s I was able to create glitter pumpkins and my jack-o-lantern with a Cinderella template pumpkin! It’s kind of a big deal in our house – the past few years, Eric and I have gotten creative with our pumpkins using difficult templates and our Dremmels 🙂 If you haven’t carved a pumpkin using a Dremmel, you’re missing out – although remember to have eye wear, you’ll thank me later!!
(My pumpkin from last year….still very proud of it!!)
So, last night we put our Pandora station to the non-scary Halloween station (I’ll admit right now that Eric would prefer Rob Zombie to the Monster Mash!) and got in the mood to carve our pumpkins! I’m pretty excited with how they came out and how simple the glitter pumpkins were – spread out school glue with your hands, and then dump fine glitter all over it until it shakes off. That simple and yes, messy! Also, thanks to www.zombiepumpkins.com for my awesome Cinderella template! It was actually pretty easy and came out exactly as I was hoping 🙂 So, enjoy some photos from our craft night and have an amazing Halloween! If you’re in Bakersfield – you can find me dressed up as none other than Cinderella herself at the Kern County Museum’s Safe Halloween from 4-6pm and at Olive Drive Church’s Family fun night from 6-8pm 🙂 Enjoy some fun and safe trick-or-treating and come say hi!
Eric decided to go the route of a creepy two iris’ed eye that he saw on Tool’s CD cover or something 😉 Abstract pumpkin for sure!
On another fun fall note – I ordered some Texas Pecans (pre-cracked!!) from Royalty Pecan Farms in Caldwell (near Aggieland!) and was sooo excited when the 5 lb bag arrived on my doorstop. They are delicious and I aboslutely loved the customer service and personal note that arrived with them! Such a simple touch that I really enjoyed 🙂

Way cool! Love the crafty pumpkins. Can’t wait to see Cinderella in person tonight!
Very impressed!
