When you start off having the greatest name on the planet, and then talk via phone, email and text for 4 months, anyone would be excited to finally meet, right! Jessica hired me as her wedding photographer months ago and we’ve been trying to meet in person since then. I was pumped to meet the girl on the other end of the phone who I instantly clicked with and was so curious and excited to finally get to meet…almost like what I can imagine internet dating is?! Jessica and Jesse are getting married this summer in a beautiful location in Carmel, CA, live 2 hours south of me and were able to meet me at a halfway point at the super fabulous Fort Tejon! Still with me? If you’re wondering, we hugged when we first saw each other. ….may have been the name that made her so sweet and fun and nice! (high five for all the other Jessica’s out there!) When we were discussing all of their options for engagement photos, they mentioned that they wanted a field with barns/fences type of feel and on my way to Santa Monica last week I happened to look over as we drove up the Grapevine and noticed the little exit for the actual Fort Tejon Ranch. It’s got gorgeous fields, old wood buildings, textured brick buildings, and we timed it just right for the most beautiful light! Shoutout to Casey Hardy for giving me the security low-down on shooting in Tejon and to Rachel for being an amazing assistant and bubble maker!
I am beyond excited for their wedding and truly enjoyed getting to know these two and how beautiful and genuine their love is for one another. They were so comfortable in front of my camera and were laughing and enjoying themselves even without my array of jokes ( I tell jokes?!?! Knock, knock. Seriously, I have a great knock-knock joke!)
Here is just a sneak peek at the beautiful evening light we had, some cute props and their infectious love. Enjoy and congratulations you two! (*Raise your hand if you think I should change my name to Nancy on wedding day just to avoid what I forsee as some fun confusion!)
Bubbles!!!
Jessica, you’re gorgeous!
And, Jesse…way to rock the pose 🙂

They are absolute cuteness! I think you should change your name to Jennifer for the day because people are always mixing up Jess & Jen already. 🙂
The lighting in these is UNBELIEVABLE! Amazing pics, Jessica! Beautiful couple!
These are FABULOUS…such great light and personality! I especially love that 2nd shot. Holy Cow! Amazing!
Wonderful session, I love their expressions in the black and white camera shot. Nice job!
Love the bubbles! 🙂
You got some dreamy shots here. What super yummy light you captures. Nice job!
