Needed: 1 Part Time Paid Assistant/Intern
Jessica Frey Photography is looking to hire someone for a part time position. You will be working around 2 days a week to assist with office work, marketing, and periodically helping at photo shoots and weddings. This is an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to run a successful photography company while helping Jessica with the day-to-day work!
Please keep in mind that this is NOT a Photography position! It is an office/photo shoot assistant position that is incredibly flexible and an opportunity to learn by watching. We will not be teaching you about how to use your camera, but you will learn a ton of behind the scenes practical information!

Information about the job:
– Located at Jessica’s home office in Bakersfield, CA

Requirements:
– 4-10 hours per week. Jessica is in the office Tues-Friday with weddings most Friday-Sunday so we would prefer to have you working in office Tues/Thurs or Wed/Fri and additional evenings with photo shoot needs or weekends with wedding needs!
– Excellent communication and people skills
– Project management and organizational skills
– Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
-Comfortable providing feedback and helping improve the business
– Computer knowledge & ability to quickly learn new programs (Quickbooks, SEO work, Specific Photography programs – not including LIghtroom/Photoshop/etc)
– Ability to work independently, quickly and take initiative
– A self motivated team player who is able to be productive without constant direction and supervision

Tasks:
– General office help and admin tasks
– Being in charge of submitting photos/weddings/sessions to online/print magazines
– Building slide shows for clients and marketing
– Assisting with portrait sessions during the week – carrying equipment, setting up lights, working the reflector, loading/unloading car
– Assisting at local weddings – around 6 hours, no photography
– Assist with blogging and uploading blogs using WordPress.org
– Finances: inputting receipts, organizing and filing paperwork, double-checking all banking statements
– In charge of online newsletter, to include some article writing and research needs

Please note that this job can last up to a year! I am not looking for someone to just work a summer job. There is possibility for growth with photography after a while depending on my needs and your skills!
Pay is bi-monthly, every other Friday and is set at $10 per hour worked. Payment is based as an independent contractor of Jessica Frey Photography and a non-compete disclosure will be needed.
