Hey brides! Have you ever even heard of the fact that there are certain colors every year that are “in”? Or that fashion/design/bridal inspiration derives from it? I sure didn’t until a few months ago 🙂 My good friend Jennifer Williams is a graphic designer and hence needs to know these things…and sure enough every year, the Pantone Color Institute releases the top 10 hues that will color our world for the upcoming season. For Spring 2011 they focused on ‘happy’ colors and projected the honeysuckle to dominate! I took this into consideration when designing the two “looks” for the Vows wedding cover shoot.
After looking at all 10 colors, I loved the color combination of “Silver Cloud” “Silver Peony” “Blue Curacao” and a pinch of “Honeysuckle”. After coming up with a color scheme, I spoke with Amanda at House of Flowers and with Jerry over at Fino’s Menswear and Tuxedo and I told them my thought process: Clean, Modern, Cool: Silver, pinks, white and a touch of turquoise. They’re both amazing experts at what they do and I think they both hit it on the head…what do you think?
