I had the opportunity last week to attend a mini workshop/wedding shoot that Mike Larson was hosting in Santa Barbara during our United 2013 Conference and you bet I jumped on it! I admire Mike’s approach to weddings and you can’t deny how absolutely beautiful his style is! I loved being with my fellow Showiteers as Mike explained his thought process, ‘posing’ techniques and how he interacts with clients. I really enjoyed that he taught and was kind enough to remind us that it’s easy to get caught up in the beautiful scenery and couple, but how often do you get to watch…. truly watch a fellow photographer without photographing….so we did just that…. no clicking of our cameras, just watching and soaking in his knowledge. So, thanks Mike if you’re reading this – I appreciate your teaching technique and we were all still able to get so many beautiful shots and practice!!
We were also lucky in having the beautiful and oh so sweet Suzy and her husband Lukas modeling for us! They’re simply adorable and after getting to know Suzy over the past 6 months through Pursuit 31, I just adore her heart and passion for fellow photographers and her faith. She’s been an inspiration and I may have squealed with happiness when I saw that they were our models for the afternoon. So…now…on to pretty photos! Enjoy, here are some that I got as we walked around the beautiful Santa Barbara Estate home ( Villa Sevillano – which you can rent for your event!).
