I had the pleasure of heading out to Paso Robles with Marc and Janette for their engagement session recently! I’ve always driven by this winery and with my affinity for all things castle/princess/prince/fairy tale was really excited Janette chose this location for her engagement session! It really is a beautiful venue that has a friendly staff, yummy wine (my bottle of choice is the Rose!), is well laid out, and a great location for events and weddings! We drove up and were all immediately excited to see a real moat around the castle filled with gorgeous blue water! The owners spared no expense and we truly felt like we were visiting a unique fairy tale castle! After getting there early to enjoy a tasting of their wine selections, we were given permission to explore the grounds, the upstairs balconies and anywhere we wanted to take photos. It was fun exploring and finding some cute nooks and crannies for these two to enjoy. Janette wanted the look and feel of a grand chandelier and we were greeted with a gorgeous iron one as soon as we entered the beautiful real wood/iron doors into the castle! If you ever get a chance, do stop by and taste some wine, buy a bottle and enjoy the sunset on the rooftop patio!
On our journey to Eagle Castle Winery, I got to know Marc and Janette better and even found out that Marc went to the Naval Academy a few years before my husband! So we instantly started reminiscing about living in Annapolis and I excitedly learned that these two were getting married in the beautiful Navy Chapel there on the Yard! I got to hear their love story and how they met here in Bakersfield, how Marc wooed Janette by making fun of her argyle socks 😉 and how fate brought them together! Congratulations you two, I enjoyed our adventure and hope you have a wonderful wedding day and life ahead together!
One of the indoor rooms fit for a king!
We couldn’t resist the cheesy pose at the provided queen and king stand!! Too funny!!
The attached winery as the sun was setting provided us with some gorgeous light and backgrounds!
The stunning view of Paso Robles from the top of the winery.
Thank you to Eagle Castle Winery for allowing us to enjoy the location, sip on some fabulous wine and take photos they’ll remember forever!
