Whew…after a whirlwind of amazing-ness I finally got to sleep in today! I think I’ve had a total of 15 hours of sleep during the 5 days I was in Vegas for the yearly WPPI conference. Between 8am classes, 2 full arena sized trade shows to visit, working the Shootsac booth, fabulous lunches and dinners to attend, and showing my newbie roommates the Belagio fountain, the piano bar and Irish pub at NY NY, staying up late to chat with amazing women about their businesses and experiences….oh and TWO 5AM PHOTO SHOOTS I’m exhausted!
WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) brings in 20,000 photographers from around the world each year to MGM Las Vegas for a week long experience of classes, tradeshows and events. It was an amazing 5 days and the things I learned, people I met and the photo shoots I was a part of and set up have already helped set me on a course to being a better person, better photographer, and better business woman! I truly love my work, love the industry, and the fabulous people that I now have in my life to cheer me on, support me and keep me accountable! Lots of love to my ‘words-cannot-describe-how-awesome-they-are’ roommates, Courtney and Karen! Miss you two women already and thank you for sharing this week with me! Your hearts and passion for your work and lives is a testament to the amazing women of God you are! I feel so blessed to have you in my life and can’t wait until we Skype or see each other in person! Safe travels and MISS YOU!!!!
I was a part of the Gray Photography master class which included a 5am photo shoot in Jean, NV! These two Nashville photographers are amazing and I learned SO much from them!
Seriously…when set up with their $6,000 worth of lighting equipment, I got this shot. Straight. Out. Of. My. Camera. No re-touching at all!
I was also blessed to meet Mike Larson and his beautiful wife, Rachel…and their incredibly cute 2 month old Hannah! I had the opportunity to do a quick family photo shoot with them and had to share a few of my favorites!
I also saw Jessica and Nathan from Thirst Relief as they modeled for a lunch put on my Me Ra Kah and Pixel 2 Canvas! These two are great and have done an amazing job with Thirst Relief in Africa! Plus, they’re smoking hot!
Last but not least was the photo shoot I’ve been putting together for a month with my great friend Beth and Amanda! I’ll be posting photos from this dry lake bed/wedding shoot on Wednesday’s blog, so make sure to come back! Until then, here are a few sneak peeks for you!

Yay! Fabulous review my friend! Thanks again for organizing the desert shoot; you are such a superstar and I loved being your roomie/elevator-cry-buddy/story-sharing friend during WPPI! It was so fun to share the week with you! xoxo
